FAQs
What is Deep Tissue?
The benefits of Deep Tissue vary, but it is intended to concentrate pressure to relax muscles, fascia, and tendons. You can expect the session to feel slower with deliberate strokes applied to deep layers of muscle tissue.
What is Cupping?
Clients can expect plastic or silicon cups that suck to their skin and lift underlying soft tissue into the cup. This technique is intended to release fascial adhesions, improve circulation, and promote mobility and range of motion. Cupping is intended to be very relaxing and generally not painful. Redness or a feeling of warmth is usually experienced after the release of the cup due to increased blood flow.
What is Gua Sha?
Gua Sha can be applied gently to the face to improve circulation, decrease wrinkles and improve the production of collagen. It is intended to be a relaxing experience and a great addition to any session.
Gua Sha can also be used on the body and major muscle groups to break up adhesions and restore normal tissue mobility.
What do I wear to my session?
Clients are welcome to undress for their session to their desired level of comfort. Most clients prefer to undress completely while some prefer to keep their undergarments on. You will be given time to undress in the privacy of the massage space and remain covered during your session aside from the areas being worked on at that time. Please arrive at your appointment clean and free of colognes or perfumes.
